Be Ye Transformed

A bit of encouragement

I was watching and listening to Cece Winans sing “We Believe For It.” And let me tell you, she is encouraging my spirit. Sometimes, you have to keep singing until you believe what God said to you. You have to keep praying until your thoughts line up directly with the Holy Spirit. You must keep reading until the power of the Word renews your mind. Often, what you see in the natural isn’t what is happening in the spiritual. So, you can’t believe what you see; you must believe what you know. You have to believe what God said. There is so much power in the name of Jesus. Call on Him!

Romans 12:1-2 says, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”

We sometimes have the tendency to imitate the world, don’t we? When you start to get worried or overwhelmed, you may use your phones to distract you or talk about your issues with everyone else. You might turn to old habits to comfort you temporarily. But Paul reminds us in this scripture to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Do you want to know what God’s will is? Do you want the answer to your problem? Do you want to have peace? Don’t turn to your old habits or to your distractions; renew your mind. Renew your mind by singing God’s praises (with Cece :-). Renew your mind by reading God’s Word. Renew your mind through prayer and meditating on scripture.

I like the old KJV way of saying, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Have a great week! And remember to feed your spirit, friends.
