There was a soul bruised and maimed
Hidden from everyone was a stain
In a dark place where no one recognized
Deep within the crevices of the soul's mind
The secret stain lie

Though everyone was around
Only the soul heard the ugly sound
Every wound, every scar, every sore
Echoed, “Liar! Leper! Whore!”

Wrapped in an ornamental package
Deep within crawled gritty maggots
Eating away at the stain inside
Feeding thoughts of suicide

Only ONE dared to explore
Beyond the souls disguisable décor
Once open
Exposed the ugliness
The unbearable repugnance

The ONE grabbed hold
Deep down inside
And with mouth opened wide
Swallowed the stain the grit the grime
The ONE became the stain and died

The ONE resurrected
Glorified
The soul never ending
Was now purified

As untouched snow
No grit
No grime
The soul forever
Sanctified
